With due reverence, the school attributes its growth and progress to its esteemed Founder Late Mr. Sethu Bhaskaran. The Sethu Valliammal Educational Trust founded by him, has started many institutions Sethu Bhaskara Matric. Hr. Sec. School and Soka Ikeda College of Arts & Science for Women in Chennai, Sethu Irani Matric. Hr. Sec. School and Sethu Bhaskara Industrial Training Centre in Kandaramanickam and Sethu Bhaskara Agricultural College and Research Foundation near Karaikudi.

The school functions in Six Blocks - Veeramangai Velunachair Block, Dr. Ikeda Block, Didwania Ratanlal Charitable Trust Block, MM Ehiya Block, Anjalay Block and Jerusalem Block. The veeramangai Velunachair Block is named after the first woman Freedom Fighter of India. The Didwania Ratanlal Charitable Trust Block has been named after Shri Ratanlal Didwania, an Industrialist and Philanthropist. The foundation stone was laid by Jeyandra Saraswathi Swamigal and Vijayendra Swamigal graced the occasion. Dr. Ikeda Block has been named after Dr. Daisaku Ikeda, the philosopher and educationst from Japan. He is the Founder of the Soka University Tokyo, Japan and Los Angeles. He is also the President of the Soka Gakkai International. The MM Ehiya Block has been raised in the name of Mr. Ehiya, a philanthropist from Dubai. The Anjalay Block is named after M. Anjalay in memory of the woman labourer Anjalay of Mauritius, who was the first woman to voice her opposition against injustice to the labourers. In Mauritius, two ladies have been honoured by installing a statue. One, Queen Victoria and the other was Anjalay Coopen. There is a football stadium and a road in Mauritius named after this Tamil lady. Dr. Sethu Kumanan, the Correspondent respects all religions. Hence he had named the block as Jerusalem. The Management, highly impressed by the martyrdom, decided to name this Block in her name. Surrounded by trees the shady area provides a conducive atmosphere to teach the tiny-tots in a play-way method.
